Find out where to hunt in this weeks report. September 14, 2006 - Salmon are starting to show in different area's, bear hunting has begun up north and the leaves are starting to turn color. September 7, 2006 - Fishing is still good, and our sources are reporting deer and bear sightings. Find out where to fish or plan your next hunt in this weeks report. August 31, 2006 - The weather seems to be cooling off, salmon seem to be coming up all over the state. August 18, 2006 - The leaves are begining to change up north, and people are spotting bear and deer. August 10, 2006 - Again, another great week for the fishermen! August 3, 2006 - Fishing is still great around the state, find out where to go to catch your limit of fish! July 27, 2006 - Our sources have reported perch, northern pike, and lots of walleye. July 6, 2006 - Fishing is excellent around the state, but there has been a lack of fishermen out this year. Check out this weeks Outdoor Conditions to find out where to get your limit at. June 29, 2006 - Fishing has been slow this week due to lots of rain and lack of fishermen. Fish are in abundance in some areas, read this weeks Outdoor Conditions Report to find out where to go. Have a great 4th of July weekend! June 22, 2006 - A tournament is schedules in the Gladstone area, mayflies are hatching around the state and different fish are being caught around the state. Find out in this weeks report where to go to catch your favorite fish. June 15, 2006 - Make sure to join us this weekend in Frankfort for the David Bihlman fishing tournament, it will be a great way to spend Fathers Day! Fishing is hit and miss around the state, find out where the hot spots are. June 8, 2006 - Huge amounts of bass is being caught in Cadillac! Walleye are biting all around the state and bluegills are on the beds. May 25, 2006 - Lake trout looks good around the state, bluegill are begriming to show on the beds, and the morels have seemed to have slowed down. May 18, 2006 - There are plenty of fishing tournaments going on this weekend and a 45 pound carp was caught in Houghton Lake. Make sure to find out what bait to use and where to go in this weeks report! May 11, 2006 - Snow? In the UP there is some, read about it in this weeks outdoor conditions report. Morels are popping up in different spots around the state and the fish are biting! May 4, 2006 - Morels are just about everywhere, except for where it is dry. Fishing is hit or miss around the state. April 27, 2006 - If you are looking for Morel Mushrooms, you need to check out this weeks report to find out where the hot spots are. Perch is hitting around the state, along with steelhead, panfish, crappie, and bluegill. Remember that walleye and pike season opens this weekend! April 20, 2006 - Morels are starting to pop up early around the state! Smelt is running and you can find perch, steelhead, brown trout, bluegill and salmon in some areas. April 6, 2006 - The ice seems to be moving out in the Upper Peninsula, but there are a still lakes that have some ice. The Lower Peninsula has open water and some area's that people are launching their boats from. Steelhead and perch and some suckers seem to be the best catch for this weekend. March 30, 2006 - We would like to welcome back Frank Chakrabarty at Trenton Lighthouse who just returned from his vacation from Florida! Check out his report if you plan to fish in the Trenton area. We are also happy to announce that the Captain Nichols Perch Party Boat will be back in business for the season starting April 15! Don't forget that fishing licenses end tomorrow, so if you plan to fish this weekend, make sure to get an updated license first. Perch, walleye and Steelhead seem to be hit and miss around the state, make sure to read the full report here! March 23, 2006 - There are still some trails that you can snowmobile on, and some ice on the lakes for ice fishing. Perch fishing is hit or miss around the state along with steelhead. Brown trout seems to be decent in Tawas and you can find smelt at Higgins Lake. March 16, 2006 - The U.P. looks like it is still a winter wonderland if you are still into snowmobiling and ice fishing. Most of the lakes in the lower peninsula is loosing it's ice, but there are a few lakes that have solid ice for the ice fisherman. People are also catching their limit in Steelhead in some areas. March 9, 2006 - Ice and snow is starting to disappear around the state, there is some open water, anglers are catching fish on Long and Grand Lakes and people are finding Walleye on the Bay in Oscoda. March 3, 2006 - A snowmobile drag race is scheduled in Ontonagon this weekend, hunter's are seeing a lot of Coyote in the Indian River area, a 10 inch base of snow is found in the Traverse City area, anglers are seeing some perch around the state along with Walleye and some Pike, and the Oldsmobile Outdoor Club is meeting in Cadillac. February 24, 2006 - Lots of stuff going on around the state of Michigan. Over 400 miles of trails have been reported around the Soo area, fishing is hit and miss, make sure you get out and let us know how you did fishing or riding! Don't miss any of the events going on around the state. February 16, 2006 - We would like to welcome Budd from Bucks Bait & Tackle in Alpena to our Outdoor Condition Report! Snowmobiling looks great in the U.P. Fishing appears to be spotty across the state. February 9, 2006 - Detour Sportsman's Club is holding there annual fishing contest on Caribou Lake, Tawas is hosting Perchville this weekend and Walleye are reported good and the snow seems spotty across the state. Don't forget to check out the Michigan Deer & Turkey Spectacular at the Lansing Center this weekend. February 2, 2006 - I500 is happening this weekend in Sault Ste. Marie (Canada), snowmobiling looks good in the U.P., fishing is okay, but expect open waters in lower Michigan.
