Muskegon Area
On Muskegon , Wolf and White Lake Bill reports lots of Bluegill in the shallows but they are not bedding yet. On the East half of Muskegon Lake schools of Perch are also moving through the shallows. On Lake Michigan Walleye are reported in decent numbers along the breakwalls. Steelhead, King Salmon and Brown Trout are being located best in 30 feet of water or less. On the Muskegon River by the Dam Steelhead are also reported. |

In the Lexington Area Brian reports, the strong North East wind has churned things up a bit but last week a number of Coho were landed in 10-18 feet of water trolling neon oranges. The Harbor has been good for small Perch and lots of hunters were successful Turkey Hunting.

Vicki tells me the party boat has been making it out on weekends but the fishing success has been hit or miss for Perch. One day its good and the next its not.

On the Detroit River, Frank tells me anglers are continuing to find small Walleye good eaters in the 3-5 pound range. Silver Bass are also starting heavy in the river and it looks like it will be a good year. Big Perch are being caught around Grosse Isle and Horse Island . |
