Donna tells me on Drummond Island anglers are landing Perch off the docks and from boats. A few Morels have been picked, however the area has had frost over the past few days.

In the Oscoda area Rick reports the Steelhead success Good, Out of Cedar Lake anglers have been landing 10 inch Bluegill and this weekend Walleye opens all over and a few have been spotted in the mornings. Morel hunters are reporting finding a few here and there.

On Houghton Lake it has been windy but lots of sun has the Panfish and Crappie active in the canals. No report on Morels yet.

On Lakes Cadillac and Mitchell Debbie reports a few Crappie, at Tippy Dam anglers are getting a few Steelhead and Morels are out and hunters are giving good reports.

Ludington

In the Ludington area anglers are finding lots of Bluegill, they are also waiting for Pike and Walleye season to open this weekend. No reports on Morels yet.

Muskegon Area

On Muskegon , Wolf and White Lake Bill reports lots of Bluegill in the shallows but they are not bedding yet. On the East half of Muskegon Lake schools of Perch are also moving through the shallows. On Lake Michigan Walleye are reported in decent numbers along the breakwalls. Steelhead, King Salmon and Brown Trout are being located best in 30 feet of water or less. On the Muskegon River by the Dam Steelhead are also reported.

Lexington Area

In the Lexington Area Brian reports, the strong North East wind has churned things up a bit but last week a number of Coho were landed in 10-18 feet of water trolling neon oranges. The Harbor has been good for small Perch and lots of hunters were successful Turkey Hunting.

On Crooked Lake anglers are finding a few Crappie and Bluegill are showing up in the shallows and are close to spawning. Morel hunters are finding a few.

Trenton

On the Detroit River, Frank tells me anglers are continuing to find small Walleye good eaters in the 3-5 pound range. Silver Bass are also starting heavy in the river and it looks like it will be a good year. Big Perch are being caught around Grosse Isle and Horse Island .
