Gladstone Area

In Gladstone Naomi doesn't have a good report because a walleye tournament was held last weekend and about 40 pounds of fish were weighed in and a 10 pounder won it. Mayfly hatches continue and appear to be keeping the fish well fed.

Frankfort

Over in the Frankfort area Captain Kris reportsthat the Marina is getting busy and the Salmon fishing has been pretty good, a 25 pounder was landed Thursday. Early morning is the best, get your lines down by 5:30 and expect to come in at 8. Captain Kris says the fish are healthy and he calls them "Silver Bullets ", 6 mile hole has been consistently good using small spoons, that north of Pointe Betsie.

Join us for the David Bihlman fishing tournament at Betsie Bay Marina on July 2nd starting at 5:00 am. Come on out for a fun filled day of fishing along with BBQ, live entertainment and great prizes! Alpena

In Alpena the Fishing is good according to Budd. Long and grand Lakes are loaded with Walleye, Pike and Bass is excellent. Also Perch success on Long Lake is the best it's been in 13 years. This week the bait of choice is crawlers. Lake Huron is producing 10 pound Salmon, and lots of Lake Trout.

In Oscoda the Catfish have been excellent, also Big Walleye 14" have been landed, and banner year for Bluegill, Lake Trout is good and a few King Salmon are reported as well.

In the Lexington and Port Sanilac Area anglers have been taking lots of Walleye on the river, A few Perch are reported around Port Sanilac and Along Harbor Beach they have been hooking Lake Trout and King Salmon.
