Mason County


Mason County is located on the Lake Michigan shoreline. The big town is Ludington with the biggest inland lake, Hamlin Lake . Nice deer come from Mason County but Ludington (the county seat) is really famous for Big salmon, and lots of ' em . Mason County was named for Stevens T. Mason (1811-1843), the first governor of the State of Michigan from 1835-1840.
