Montmorency County


Montmorency County is located in the northeastern Lower Peninsula in the northeastern corner of the state, the county seat is Atlanta. It's the Pigeon River country that's famous for Michigan 's elk herd. It was named after Count Montmorency, a valiant fighter for the Colonies in the Revolutionary War.
