Question: I'm wondering if you know what the snow/trail
conditions are for cross country skiing in Thompsonville, Mi.?

Dear Heidi: I spoke to one of my Outdoor-Michigan Report Sources in the Frankfort Area:

Betsie Bay Marina - Marge Mills - Frankfort - 231-352-2628

She told me there was no ice on the bay and very little snow less than an inch.  She suggested you may want to contact Crystal Mountain Resort if you are interested in Cross Country Skiing.  They may make there own snow and may have groomed cross country trails.  The number to the resort is as follows, Crystal Mountain Resort and Conference Center, 12500 Crystal Mountain Dr, Thompsonville, MI 49683, Tel: (231) 882-4904.   If you do contact them please let them know we sent you.  Thanks for your interest in Outdoor-Michigan
