Injured Soldier Foundation

Wednesday, July 12, 2006
My name is Scott Powelson, I am the newly appointed Michigan Program Director for the Injured Soldier Foundation. (Operation Return to the Wild).
It is the mission of the Injured Soldier Foundation to aid in the physical and mental rehabilitation of our wounded heroes by providing them with hunting, fishing, camping and many other outdoor recreational activities that they may not otherwise be able to enjoy. Through corporate sponsorships and individual donations these trips are provided at no cost to our wounded heroes.
In the last year we have taken over 250 soldiers on outdoor adventures.
You have been around the block and I thought maybe you could give me some ideas on promoting the Injured Soldier Foundation here in MI. I am also in need of donations of hunts and fund raising items for our upcoming banquet. So if you can pass the word around in your travels it would really help the
cause!
We have some great bow coming up, if you would like to film one, it would be
great!
For more info on The Injured Soldier Foundation please check out or web site(s). www.injuredsoldiers.net and www.injuredsoldiers.org
I thank you for your time and hope to talk with you soon.

Injured Soldier Foundation
MI Program Director
Dear Scott:
It sounds like your organization is undertaking some very important work that has a big impact on the outdoors. Unfortunately the only resources that Outdoor-Michigan has to donate to your cause are promotion on our website and a link to yours. Let me know if there is anything else we can do. Also in the future we would like to videotape an interview explaining your organization that we can provide on our website as well.
Respectfully Outdoors,
Zachary Trost
