Wednesday, October 18, 2006 Hi Jim Brumm: I can really appreciate your request as it is something I have also been looking for. One suggestion you might check is to contact sportsman's clubs in the areas you are looking to hunt. You may find people that are willing to lease land for hunting. As far as hunting State land, it depends on where you go to hunt. Some state land has tremendous hunting pressure and some areas don't see any. I also feel that hunter numbers are down and many areas are not as hunted as they used to be. I have to say in the past several years I have done some hunting on state land and in some areas we were lucky to find other hunters. There is an advantage to hunting where other people are hunting, they tend to move the game. Many bucks have been taken around lunch time when other hunters decide to get up and move around. One thing that helps when hunting state land is to scout out your locations in advance to get an idea of what the pressure looks like. Also if you can set up camp that helps to reserve your spot. If we hear of any land available we will post it on our website. Good luck and good hunting. Respectfully Outdoors, Zachary Trost
