Looking to buy old shows of Practical Sportsman

Sunday, October 15, 2006

Dear Zach,
I was sorry to see the show end after all of these years. Thursday night
will never be the same. I can remember as a child watching the show with my
family, listening to the guide report and hoping the weekend will see me in
the field with my Labrador retriever (she loved hunting!!)I am curious: are
you able to purchase any of the old shows? If so, please let me know how to
go about identifying the episodes. Also, I am wondering what ever happened
to Bob Garner, Charlie Keenan, Cathy Beutler, John Ford and your father? Is
everyone still doing well, and will we see them on a new show any time soon?
I miss the wild game cook-offs and the recipes that you used to have on the
shows. Cathy Beutler's recipe segment was always looked forward to, and I
can remember Bob Garner doing field reports. Ah, the old days. Well, I hope
that you gentlemen can bring us fellow sportsmen some new days as well.
Thank you for all of the memories.

Hi Cam :

I was also sad to see the show end after many years.  Outdoor Michigan does not have any access to the old Practical Sportsman TV Shows.  You can check the website that my father has set up www.joesportsman.com   and they may be able to help you out.  Last I knew Bob Garner was working for the State of Michigan , Charlie Keenan not sure of, Cathy Beutler not sure of, John Ford works for the IT department at MSU, and as I said earlier my father has set up a website www.joesportsman.com .  As far as seeing anyone on a new show any time soon the only person other than my father that I keep in contact with is John Ford.  John and I have been kicking some ideas around but nothing solid yet.

Respectfully Outdoors,

Zachary Trost
